MPTPL was started as a firm named Mohindra Precision Tools to make Tangential chasers in 1994 with a limited machinery .In 1996 it succeeded in manufacturing Ground Thread, Thread Rolling Flat Dies with a limited machinery and capacity. Due to quality and correct parameters and profiles made on dies, the company succeeded to gain entry in leading automobile fasteners manufacturers. Gradually, the company gained major market of industry manufacturing fasteners of hardware,cycle,structure and other industrial fasteners .In 1997,the company was incorporated and got its name changed to Mohindra Precision Tools Pvt. Ltd., the company inducted more modern machinery and equipment to boost its production capacity to cater the needs of fasteners manufacturers.
